The Talent Acquisition department hires qualified candidates to fill positions which contribute to the overall strategic success of Howard University. Hiring staff “for fit” makes significant contributions to Howard University’s overall mission.
BASIC FUNCTION:
Will provide several workshops on social justice art to the Social Justice students and the wider campus community. The workshops will explain the themes, techniques, and objectives of the socially conscious art.
SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITY:
Involves no formal responsibility or authority for the direction of others.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts are with Howard students. Other Internal contacts include PI and Co-PI of the Mellon Just Futures Grant, and the College of Arts and Sciences, collaborators, as well as peers in the art community.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
The applicant should be an artist whose work intersects with social or racial justice issues.
