A Berks county manufacturing company is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for immediate start.
Pay Rate - $18 per hour (1st shift) / $18.50 per hour (2nd shift)
Location: Reading, PA
Shift: Monday through Friday, 1 st : 5:00am - 3:30pm / 2 nd : 4pm - 2am
Overtime: Should be prepared for 10+ hr. days. Weekend work will be based off of workload (voluntary, not mandatory)
Prequalification testing - Tape measure test & Reading test
Ideal candidates will possess:
1.) measuring skills/tape measure
2.) ability to use power tools
3.) be mechanically inclined or have experience in a particular mechanical trade
Job Description/Duties may include any of the following:
Physical Demands- Ability to stand for entirety of shift (10+ hours), ability to bend/reach/stoop, should have strong wrists, ability to lift 50 lbs.

- ability to read blueprints/work orders is a big plus
Job Description/Duties may include any of the following:
- Assembly of aluminum parts
- Operation of punch press and other machinery for fabrication
- Flooring work and floor rolling
- Finishing work
- Operation of overhead crane
- Operation of power tools including: impacts, drills; screw drivers; crimpers; circular saws
- Ability to work with aluminum and steel
- Excellent measuring and reading skills
- Possible suspension work (for installation)
- Do not have to have performed all of these duties in the past. Training may take 1-2 months where you are introduced to other job duties. By the end of training, you should be able to read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
- Must have ability to comprehend English and communicate effectively
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
