Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for working on and around aircraft such as; Bell V22 Osprey, H1 Viper, H1 Venom, or 525 Relentless. He/She will be responsible for structural or mechanical assembled parts on aircraft, while keeping proficient records of the aircraft completion status daily.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drilling close tolerance holes using a variety of hand drills/power feed drills.
- Multiple types of fastener installations in composite and sheet metal.
- Installs, fits, and adjusts parts or assemblies where difficult installations, alignments or adjustments are necessary while conforming to technical directives/specifications.
- Required to work from blueprints or project sketches and templates with or without the use of tooling jigs or fixtures
- Experienced Techs should be able to perform a majority of the assembly operations on all parts of the aircraft as well as fixture and bench assembly operations.
- May require some composite and fiberglass bond layup or repair.
- Can make necessary layouts to fabricate and fit component parts per engineering requirements.
- Works to crew loads and follows written and verbal work instructions
- Required to perform scheduled/unscheduled inspections.
- Assembly Installations consists of Engines, Gearboxes, Drive shafts, Rotor Blades, Fuel Systems, Electrical harnesses and Computer Systems, Hydraulic Components, and other Systems.
- Functional Testing of Hydraulic and Electrical Systems.
- Performs difficult repairs and alterations per design changes, removing the required parts and making replacements
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Comprehensive Communication Skills, both verbal and written
Intermediate Computer Skills- MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. (All daily work instructions, documents, and specifications are accessed via computer)
Desired Qualifications:
Aircraft maintenance or assembly experience
Formal training from a recognized program considered in lieu of experience
Mechanical ability demonstrated from another industry considered in lieu of aircraft experience
