General Labor – Full-Time – Claremont, NC 28610

We are offering a $1,250(2nd shift) and $750(1st shift) sign-on bonus for all new hires after 90 days of employment. The starting pay for this position is $17.30/hour with a shift increase for second and third shift. We have open positions for first, second, and third shifts.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for entry level, non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks:

• Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening in any department that may include, but not limited to, supplier, assembler, topper, hand wrapper, packer, stacker, sanitation.
• Other tasks include standing, walking, stretching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting and reaching.
• Candidate must be willing to lift, push and carry in many areas on the production floor (weight depends on area ranging from 15 – 50 pounds).
• Candidates must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must be willing to be cross trained and moved to other areas as needed
• Must be willing and able to stand for 8 – 12 hours per day on hard floors in extreme hot or cold environments ranging from 50 to 120 degrees

Requirements:

Prior experience is not required. Must have effective communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
