Assistant/Associate Athletics Director for Compliance & Student-Athlete Success

This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics and responsible for athletics compliance and eligibility. Truman is a member of the NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) sponsoring eighteen (18) intercollegiate sports.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee all NCAA compliance operations including initial and continuing eligibility
• Work with the Title IX office to ensure all Sexual Violence Prevention requirements are being met

• Serve as member of Athletic Department Leadership team and direct liaison to Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Academic Services in all matters related to student-athlete eligibility
• Conduct team orientation/compliance meetings before practice & playing seasons
• Provide rules education for coaches and staff and ensuring compliance with NCAA, gender equity, conference, and university policies and procedures
• Prepare NCAA Sports Sponsorship and Demographics Report, Graduation Rates and Academic Success Rates Report
• Advisor to Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) working with students on projects and special events
• Oversee and assist in administration of home athletics events;
• Provide information and regulations on Name, Image, and Likeness to student-athletes, coaches, boosters, and businesses
• Attend NCAA and/or NACDA compliance seminars;
• Assist student-athletes with academic advising and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications include: A bachelor’s degree; demonstrated record of effectiveness in written and oral skills, computer and organizational skills, and interpersonal communication skills; and at least one year experience in compliance or administration.
Preferred qualifications include: master’s degree, experience interpreting and applying rules and regulations, ability to operate effectively in a competitive environment,
