Seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to work under the direction of a Controller and closely with operations. You will assist with the preparation of financial statements, budget reports, month and year end close, and ad-hoc projects. Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

• Preparing and consolidating financial statements and reports.
• Assisting with the development and evaluation of budgets and preparing budget reports.
• Supporting the formulation and implementation of control systems within the organization.
• Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling accounts.
• Supporting the accounting department with all aspects of the general ledger.
• Ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Following changes in regulations and compiling reports regarding compliance issues, standards, and accounting practices.

Requirements

Assistant Controller Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Public Accounting experience a plus.
• Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations.
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to communicate cross departmentally and explain accounting to non accounting people
• Looking for someone with drive, hunger to learn, humble, and fun!
• Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
• Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
• Well-founded grasp of Monthly Balance Sheet
• Proven knowledge of Monthly Account Reconciliation
• Quality experience with standard costs
• Oracle experience
