Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for an Assistant Director for our client, an early childhood center, in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The Assistant Director will oversee classroom lesson plans, conduct new staff orientation, and will oversee records. This is a full time, direct hire position with hours expected to be Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, engage and socialize with students and parents, and collaborate well with others.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:

• Conduct new staff orientation and evaluations.
• Coordinate trainings, parent meetings, and other activities.
• Purchase inventory, supplies, and collect payments.
• Review classroom lesson plans and various records for accuracy.
• Filing documents electronically.
• Adhere to regulations and licensing.
• Prepare work schedules for staff.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Assistant Director Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development or related field
• 3+ years of experience working in a childcare center
• Director’s certificate required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and Food Handler License
• Grant writing skills preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
