The Assistant Director of Nursing (DON) is a management position who is responsible for overseeing the daily care to facility residents. The ADON functions as a liaison between residents and community staff. In addition to resident care, this individual is responsible for other clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. This person must convey a positive image of the community and must have a genuine caring interest and working with elderly people.

Responsibilities:

· Manage nursing staff, appropriately assigning duties

· Attend staff meetings and provide ongoing training as necessary

· Provide consultations for residents, family, and staff

· Perform new resident assessments prior to admission

· Create service plans within 7 days of moving into the facility

· Perform resident re-assessments every 6 months or upon significant change

· Keep inventory or all client medical equipment

· Maintain summaries of client medical appointments

· Document all medications and medication changes

· Educate staff, clients, and families

· Organization and review of MAR’s and medications listed

· Accuracy with monthly billing and matching timesheets throughout the month

· Portray a love of senior citizens and staff

· Have an attitude of excellent customer service

· Ability to handle stressful situations

Requirements:

· Current License as a Registered Nurse or LPN in the State of Utah

· 1+ years Nursing experience

· Knowledge and experience in long term care

· Ability to communicate in English both written and oral

· Ability to pass criminal background check

Pay: $36.92 - $38.97 per hour

• Supervising experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• RN (Preferred)
