Job description
Accdon, a leading author service provider in scholarly publishing, has an opening for a full-time Assistant Editor. In this position, you will have a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of service and the time-sensitive delivery of projects. The Assistant Editor will build and maintain strong working relationships with editors, have an active role in the manuscript editing process, and assist with day-to-day administrative responsibilities as required. Flexibility is key.
Responsibilities include:
*Act as a liaison between a vast group of contract editors and members of the in-house editorial team
*Assign, track, review, and follow up as necessary to ensure the on-time delivery of projects
*Provide academic editing and conduct quality assurance tasks; field editor inquiries
Requirements:
*Ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently
*Must be attentive to deadlines
*Must be able to work quickly and accurately
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Strong organizational skills
*BS/BA required
*STEM or scientific editing experience preferred; PhD or other advanced degrees a plus
