Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Data Analytics. This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2023.

Qualifications include Ph.D. in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related field; experience in teaching data analytics and/or related field courses at the undergraduate/graduate level; ability to work effectively with students and colleagues from a variety of backgrounds; commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and experiential learning; strong analytical and programming skills, including proficiency in statistical software such as R, Python, and SAS. The successful candidate will have access to additional grant funds for professional development and for the development of a Rural Business and Agricultural Innovation Center, in collaboration with faculty in agricultural business.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in data analytics, including statistical methods, data visualization, data mining, and machine learning; maintaining a research agenda appropriate for a residential, liberal arts college in data analytics or related field; advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, including research project and thesis development; and participating in normal department and division service activities, including committee work, program and course assessment, curriculum development, and outreach to the community. The successful candidate may be asked to contribute to the general education curriculum’s quantitative literacy requirements, as well.
