QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates will provide evidence of the following qualifications:

Required:
Earned degree in Elementary Education. Doctorate in Education (or related field) or ABD; at least three years of successful
K-8 teaching experience with emphasis in Early Childhood; Commitment to student-centered learning, teacher preparation,
and excellence in teaching. Successful and innovative college-level teaching; Commitment to inclusive communities

Preferred:
Ability to teach in the education professional core and facilitate student work in diverse settings; Knowledge of and
experience with teacher education accreditation standards and processes; Desire to teach in the College’s interdisciplinary
general education program; Experience with student teaching supervision; Successful experience working with diverse
populations and diverse settings

Successful candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural
competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to support the College’s mission and contribute
to the strategic plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The successful candidate will fulfill the duties of tenure track (or visiting) faculty to include:

1. Teach courses in Early Childhood and the Elementary Education core.
2. Contribute to student recruitment activities
3. Contribute to Teacher Education Program oversight as able
