Assistant Professor of Elementary Education
Job description

Position: Assistant Professor - Elementary Education (Non-Tenure, 12-Month Online, Rank Open)
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Earned doctorate in Elementary Education or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the field
2. Ability to work effectively with students, staff, faculty, administration, and public school personnel
3. Commitment to quality teaching
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Demonstrated effectiveness in applying technology to teaching
6. At least three years of successful teaching experience in a P-12 school
7. Successful teaching experience in an online environment
Desired:
1. Evidence of scholarly research and grant writing
2. Successful teaching experience at the collegiate level
Responsibilities:
1. Teach an online course load of 4 undergraduate and/or graduate level courses per online term in the area of elementary education
2. Teach other professional courses as needed
3. Fulfill other faculty responsibilities, including conducting scholarly research and participating in University and community service and service to local schools
4. Perform other tasks as required by the appropriate administrators
Salary: Dependent upon credentials; includes excellent benefits package.
