Assistant Staff Analyst - Finance Grants - $43.88/hr - Urgent need
Job description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for an Assistant Staff Analyst (ASA) with Finance Grant Experience. The ASA will Supervises a section of four employees composed of two accountant I and II, and two accounting technician personnel engaged by monitoring and reviewing Grants reports, review and coordinate current and prior year revenue reports
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 2/22/2023 with potential renewal.
Pay Rate-
$43.88/hr working 40 hours a week

M-F 8-5. office, telework: 2 days telework and 3 days in-office per week
Job Duties
- Review Grant Expenditure Reports
- Review Grant Full Year Estimate Reports
- Review Grant staffing rosters
- Review Board letters and grants budget proposal and budget modification
- Review Grant summary worksheets detailing the grant expenditures information
- Review Grant Requisition logs
- Review eCAPS reconciliation logs
- Review Federal Drawdown requests, State, Local and DSO billing invoices
- Review Current and Prior Year Revenue Accrual, Grant Summary List, GER Summary, NCC Shift to Grant and the Department Service Order Summary reports
- Review Single Audit Grant Reporting for both phases (estimates and actual) to the Auditor-Controllers office
- Advises on the implications of proposed changes in the various Grant Award Notices and Agreements
- Federal Financial Report(s) (FFRs)
- Reviews and coordinate Current and Prior Year Revenue report(s)
- Meets with program offices and /or Manager to review and identify potential problems related to expenditures and utilization of grant funds and to develop solutions and recommendation to resolve the problem
- Meets with Manager and Chief Financial Officer to review on assigned grants unspent funds and identify steps that have taken with program offices to spend down the funds
- Performs various of special assignments
Minimum Requirements:
· A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to the core business function of the department and experience in an administrative capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, program, procedure, budget or personnel or public health programs, including administrative functions and/or grants management.
· A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to the core business function of the department may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
License: A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
