The Assistant to the Callier Center Executive Director is responsible for the performance of complex and confidential executive administrative functions. This position will report directly to the Center Director and will play a key role in assisting the Director in executing their professional and academic responsibilities. Will interact with Center, clinical and academic personnel as well as UT Dallas senior administration on main campus in Richardson. The office of the Assistant to the Center Director is located at Callier Dallas at 1966 Inwood Rd.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years experience in office administration or project management experience, preferably in a university setting. An equivalent level of education and/or experience is acceptable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential and high-level written and verbal communication to individuals inside and outside the University of Texas at Dallas.
  • Assist the Executive Director in managing her professional schedule, including the processing of confidential mail and phone calls.
  • Assist the Executive Director in the management of Callier Foundation Board activities, including the organization of quarterly Foundation Board Meetings and Committee Meetings. This individual will also process specific Board financial transactions.
  • Perform specific administrative/financial processing for the Executive Director’s Office, including reconciliation of administrative accounts and credit card purchases. This individual will also schedule travel, track reimbursement for mileage and food and conduct yearly inventory audits of equipment in the Executive Director’s Office. In addition, this position will be responsible for the scheduling of classrooms and conference rooms at Callier Dallas.
  • Oversee educational events that are organized through the Executive Director’s Office, including Bruton and Callier Prize Conferences and the weekly FLASH speaker series. This individual will also process continuing education credits (CEUs) for the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), Texas Speech-Language and Hearing Association (TSHA), and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
  • Provide administrative oversight of Callier Post-Doctoral Program and the processing of student scholarship recipients in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program.
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Development for Callier as necessary.

Vaccine Requirements:

Newly hired employees who are subject to federal vaccination requirements will be required to submit proof of vaccination (e.g., vaccination card, immunization records from health care provider) prior to their first date of employment, and may be required to show compliance annually if a federal vaccine requirement requires an annual booster vaccine. UTD will consider exemptions for employees seeking a medical or religious exemption to the vaccination requirement
