JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, NYC PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

DEPARTMENT: SERVICES

STATUS: EXEMPT

LOCATION: NYC

REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT, SERVICES

SALARY: $75,000 - $100,000 PER YEAR


SUMMARY:
The Assistant Vice President of NYC Program Development oversees all aspects of portfolio expansion, including creating all operational applications, credentialing and recruitment. AVP will continually monitors and work with external project managers, management entities and internal Westhab departments (Finance/Human Resources/Facilities/Real Estate Development) to ensure that all aspects of new programs are on track to meet established deadlines.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees OTDA applications in OTDA SMS system
  • Gather and upload all documents, inspections and credentials into OTDA system
  • Work closely with VP and COO to address issues relating to site opening
  • Research and development relationships with community program providing services needed to assist clients relating to continuum of care
  • Responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of new programs.
  • Recruit and hire needed personnel as portfolio expands
  • Work closely with HR to ensure that identified candidates on boarded in a timely manner
  • Works with the Vice President on the development and implementation of new programs strategic initiatives.
  • Responsible for building and fostering strong relationships with the Department Homeless Services, Community Boards partner organizations.
  • Assist Program Directors with problem solving, relating to new site openings.
  • Works with the Vice President and Finance Department on new program budget development and spending during start-up.
  • Participates in various committees and outside coalitions as assigned by the VP relating to new program development.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor Degree required and five + years of senior-level administrative experience and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs serving homeless / special needs client populations. Candidate should have substantial experience working with NYS, NYC and federal funding agencies. Extensive experience in program development, strong managerial and administrative skills and experience in fiscal analysis.

Must have own car and valid NYS Driver’s License.
