Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director Marketing, the Associate Director, HCP Marketing will lead and drive key HCP marketing initiatives for the potential launch and commercialization of a new product for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and potentially, Post-partum Depression (PPD). The title/job level will be determined commensurate with experience.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead and drive specific HCP marketing initiatives for product in close collaboration with co-promote and other key functional partners (i.e., Medical Affairs, Market Research and Legal). Specific initiatives may include:
    • Brand planning, brand strategy development, tactical planning
    • HCP positioning strategy
    • Disease state awareness campaign development
    • Branded HCP campaign development and tactical execution
    • Competitive intelligence
    • HCP launch tactics
    • HCP messaging development
  • Contribute as member of the HCP marketing team and deliver on the key HCP marketing goals for product.
  • Ensure launch readiness for product in the United States. Ensure specific initiatives, including marketing programs and campaigns, are executed effectively and efficiently and within budget.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Manage relationship with advertising agency and other key vendors and ensure expected deliverables are met.
  • Gain approval for marketing strategies and tactics through the internal review processes, ensuring that all activities follow regulatory and legal requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 5-10 years of broad Commercial experience with 2+ years of Marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or equivalent. Proven track record of career progression and success.
  • Experience within Depression preferred; experience in Neuro-Psych and/or specialty markets strongly preferred.
  • Experience in working with an alliance partner preferred
  • Field sales experience a plus
  • Previous product launch experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and “roll-up your sleeves” culture. An initiative-taker who functions well both independently and within a team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong scientific/medical aptitude, ability to communicate complex scientific/medical concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
