Mechanics Bank Auto Finance is currently searching for an Associate Payment Processing Associate at our Henderson, Nevada service center.
The Associate Payment Processing Representative reports to the department responsible for the timely and accurate posting of payments and other transactions to customer accounts on the account servicing system following established policies and procedures. They are responsible for balancing their own processing as well as assisting in the daily reconciliation and verification process as needed.
What you will do:

Accurate and timely posting of monetary and non-monetary transactions including but not limited to: Payments, Payoffs, Sale Proceeds, Returned Items, Third Party Expenses, Charge-Off Processing, Establishing and Updating Recurring ACH Payments, Deferments, Unwinds, Modifications, Extensions and Due Date Changes.

Assist with daily processing reconciliation. Pull daily reports.

Review check requests for accuracy prior to submitting to manager.

Review due date changes/deferments for completeness and accuracy. Balance and reconcile processing batches.

Assist with reviewing and processing requests received via the servicing email box.

Perform periodic account reviews and prepare documents associate with Audits, Office of the President, Research and Customer Inquiries.

Periodically contact dealers, customers and lenders for payment and payoff follow up as needed.

Apply sense of urgency and timeliness, associate with assigned tasks, as well as escalated items, related to Account Services.
Who you are:

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of prior experience in account servicing in the area of payment processing or accounts receivable, reconciliation experience preferred.

Auto Industry Knowledge, Fiserv, Dealertrack, Conduent, Lockbox and Deposits Preferred.

Fully utilizes all available resources to meet daily, weekly and monthly deliverables

Ability to plan and schedule work day, driven by business needs and expectations

Strong organizational skills to efficiently process tasks

Ability to accommodate shifting priorities, when other associates are unavailable

Takes initiative to work effectively on a team, by understanding and acting on the principle that team work, helps each other succeed

Comfortable completing tasks with a high accuracy rate

Ability to compile job aids and document assigned tasks, to assist others in understanding how the task is completed

Skilled at seeing and managing account level details

Effectively explains and interprets organizational policy and procedures

Maintain regular attendance based on agreed upon work schedule and work overtime as needed, including some holidays and weekends
