The University of Miami in Miami, FL is seeking an Associate Vice President Administrative Operations (AVP) to provide overall support for the operation of the EVP for Business and Finance & Chief Operating Officer (EVP/COO). The position directly reports to the EVP/COO and serves as their senior advisor on a wide variety of administrative, operational, and executive duties, special projects, and initiatives involving the EVP/COO, and Business & Finance divisional priorities. The AVP will coordinate the execution of B&F-wide projects undertaken by the EVP/COO and direct reports, as well as handling questions, concerns, issues, and requests on the EVP/COO’s behalf.

Position requires Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Finance or a closely related field, plus 10 years of experience working in complex organizational environments specifically with human resources, project management, strategic planning and change management, including 5 years of experience influencing and working closely with executive level leaders. Proven track record of developing effective partnerships across disparate groups to organize and facilitate decisions and ensure implementation. Experience with internal and external relations and communications and balancing strategic leadership with detailed involvement in support of accountabilities is also required.
