The Garner Performing Arts Center is seeking motivated technicians equally good with equipment and people for occasional work, primarily nights and weekends with some daytime shifts.

• Prepare facility for program and participant use
• Responsible for supervision of the facility and technical equipment during events and rentals of the Garner Performing Arts Center
• Sets up and tears down sound, lighting, video/streaming, and rigging equipment as needed to meet the needs of each event
• Interacts directly with clients to ensure all event needs are met
• Operates audio, lighting, video and streaming equipment, and/or works backstage during events as directed by the Theater Services & Marketing Supervisor
• Enforce the policies and procedures of the facility
• Performs facility maintenance including video camera and streaming devices
• Performs other related tasks as needed

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in live event production is required.

Experience in the operation of audio consoles, lighting consoles, and/or video cameras/streaming equipment for live events is a must.

Candidates must be able to safely lift 50 lbs. and move up to 100 lbs.

General stagecraft knowledge is preferred.

This supplemental position may be scheduled for up to 20 hours per week.
