Overview:

JHNA is seeking a Mission System Architecture Engineer to join our Elite Team supporting the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Project Office. The ideal candidate has at least 15 years of experience as an avionics engineer supporting aviation systems and subsystem specification, acquisition, development, and testing on aviation platform.

JHNA is a Digital Engineering firm focused on providing engineering and technical services primarily to DoD's Aviation communities. JHNA is a critical partner to these communities providing MBSE, MOSA, and platform security (cyber and anti-tamper) support. Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Supports the FLRAA Project Office as an avionics/systems engineer during the development of FLRAA system/subsystem specifications, reference/system architectures, milestone documentation, program briefings, white papers, and other products.
  • Provides technical support in the development of FLRAA aircraft mission systems specifically in regard to RF, Networks, communications packages and antennae.
  • Assists in the identification, management, and assessment of technical maturity of critical avionics technologies in the area of RF, Networks, and communications packages in support of FLRAA.
  • Interfaces with other Program Management Offices (PMOs) and other agencies developing and/or providing critical avionics technologies and executing independent programs of record in support of FLRAA. Communicates FLRAA priorities as well as synchronizes timelines associated with delivery of these critical technologies for integration into the FLRAA program of record.
  • Provides engineering review of all contractor avionics technical efforts, including S&T and IR&D, and represents the FLRAA Project Office during technical reviews covering mission systems.


Qualifications:


Required

  • Minimum of BS+15 years of work in (a) technical field(s) related to aviation with a strong foundation Network design, RF, communications, and antennae arrays
  • Experience with integrating avionics on aviation systems
  • Experience with verification and validation, planning and execution
  • Experience with airworthiness qualification
  • Knowledge of contract requirements and documents (Systems Engineering Plans, Performance Work Statements, etc.)
  • Ability to execute engineering projects
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to complete high-priority projects under strict time constraints
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Work effectively with others in a teaming environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Magic Draw, DOORS (or other traceability tools), and available SE tools.
