JOB SUMMARY:

Join our houseman team in providing exceptional service to our membership, guest, fellow coworkers, and management team. In doing so, you will be tasked with the responsibilities of not only maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance upkeep of our facilities and properties, but also being a part of the team that takes Vestavia Country Club to the next level.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Maintain cleanliness of the interiors and exteriors of the clubhouse, and all other buildings as assigned by the management team.

· Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the properties.

· Drop off and pick up linen from designated locations.

· Perform light repairs and maintenance.

· Move heavy equipment, furniture, material, and supplies.

· Drive company vehicles, equipment, and carts.

· Request supplies when low or if needed to perform required responsibilities.

· Changing light bulbs and filters.

· Inspecting and setup of remotes, and other electronic devices that are utilized for events. (Repairing them if needed).

· Following a list of duties and assignments, while adapting to changes at a moment’s notice.

· Perform other tasks and special projects outside of the day-to-day operations of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Basic skills in reading and writing.

2. Minimum one year experience as server in a banquet setting preferred.

3. Excellent verbal and communication skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.

OTHER:

1. Interact professionally with other employees, members and guests and work

effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.

2. Perform quality work within deadlines.

3. Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings,

weekends or holidays

4. Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.

5. Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs.

6. Requires long periods of time standing, lifting, carrying trays, frequent bending

and reaching.

7. Essential hand/eye coordination.

8. Frequent exposure to kitchen cooking smoke, steam, high temperatures,

humidity, extreme cold.

9. Communicates with grill cooks and other servers.

10. Substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands and fingers.

11. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts from knives, slipping, tripping

falls and burns.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
