Bariatric Program Coordinator
Job description
The Bariatric Program Coordinator provides professional leadership and specialized care for the bariatric surgery patient population. Develops and implements patient, staff, and physician education, works to improve the care delivered, and to enhance patient volume for the program. Also coordinates the services delivered to these patients throughout the continuum from the unit- throughout the surgery experience- and finally with providing post surgery coordination of care.
Experience, Education, Training, Special Skills, and Licensure :- 3 years as a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian
- EITHER:
- Current Louisiana RN license -or-
- Current Louisiana State License Dietitian/Nutritionist and Registered Dietitian through Commission of Dietetic Registration
Job Function : Patient management, assisting in the development, coordination and monitoring of new department's programs and services in an effort to increase program performance/quality, coordinates with physicians offices and OLOL services related to bariatric surgery processes, performs other duties as requested.
