As a Behavior Specialist you would be providing services in the home of clients throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Your job duties would include:
- Addressing client behaviors with evidence-based intervention strategies (taught to you).
- Reading and following a behavior plan.
- Teaching client’s skills in the areas of communication, social skills, and adaptive life skills, using ABA strategies.
- Teaching parents how to address behaviors and involving parents in training throughout sessions (generally 2-3 hours long).
- Taking data on progress for client and the parent/s.
Job requirements include the following:
- Behavior Specialist I: High school or Associates degree
- Behavior Specialist II: Bachelor's degree
- Reliable transportation
- Being available from 2:30pm-7:30pm (M-F) and 8:00am-7:30 pm on Saturday.
- Ability to be dynamic, fun going, creative, with parents and clients.
- Working with families from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
- Bi-lingual is a plus.'
