This is a Sherman Associates owned Hilton franchise location.

The Bell Attendant is responsible for welcoming guests as they enter the hotel, and assisting them with their luggage. The Bell Attendant will also help direct guests into the parking garage and monitor parking availability.

Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends.

Pay: Starting wage at $16.00/hour + generous tips

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Opens doors and carries luggage for guests upon request.
  • Directs guests to reception or rooms.
  • Has an intimate knowledge of the hotel amenities, hotel facilities and the local geographic area.
  • Provides concierge services to guests such as making restaurant reservations or arranging for transportation to local attractions.
  • Answers phones and directs calls to the correct department or employee.
  • Provides security and safety to guests by patrolling hotel grounds during specified hours of operation.
  • Unloads luggage at curbside upon a guest's arrival and delivers luggage to a guest's room after check-in.
  • Issues luggage claims and check guest luggage when requested.
  • Directs guests to available parking.
  • Monitors parking availability on busy event days and high occupancy nights.
  • Assists guests with secure storage and retrieval of luggage, packages, coats, hats, and other items.
  • Maintains control log of the movement of luggage and other items.
  • Familiarizes guests with the hotel's safety features and any in-room amenities.
  • Cleans and maintains work area and applicable equipment.
  • Delivers of amenities to guest rooms.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
  • Greets all guest passing through lobby and offers assistance.
  • Completes additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
  • Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.
  • Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.
  • Office hours may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job operates in a hotel environment involving heavy interaction with guests.
  • Frequent exposure to the outdoors is common, including wind, snow/ice, and rain.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the property and office, and necessity varies from day to day.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis
  • Must be able to lift up to 75-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
