JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for assisting with the administration of all employee benefit and retirement programs of Amberwell Health.
- Prepare a variety of reports for employee benefits including workers compensation, retirement, health/dental/vision insurance, etc.
- Presents employee benefit information at new-hire orientations and aides employees in the enrollment process.
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Works to set up new benefits in HRIS, as needed.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Responds to retirement plan inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual testing and audit process.
- Assists employees with benefits transitions upon termination of employment.
- Manages the workers compensation program including filing and managing claims, filing required reporting, and aiding employees through the process.
- Actively participates in benefit plan renewals each year and makes recommendations to leadership for consideration.
- Administers all ACA tracking and reporting.
- Ensures all annual reporting and compliance relating to benefits is maintained including but not limited to ACA, PCORI, SAR distribution, 5500 reporting, EEO-1 reporting and more.
- Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- : Knowledge of employee benefit programs. Knowledge of basic payroll principles and practices, computer-based records maintenance, company policies and procedures, and general office procedures. Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, Microsoft Office software program, payroll software, copier, fax, and telephone system. Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to pay close attention to detail, and locate and correct discrepancies in data. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Education:
- Minimum Required Education: Bachelors degree in human resources or related field of study with two years experience, preferred.
- 2 Year associates degree with 4 years experience preferred.
- Preferred Certifications: License, Registrations: Human Resources certification.
