Healthcare Billing Solutions (HBS) provides full-service Audiology billing services to our clients throughout the US from our office in Oxford, NC. We are expanding and looking for qualified candidates to join our billing team. We have a casual, family oriented, and teamwork environment.
Medical Biller Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit health insurance claims
- Ensure the patient’s medical information is accurate and up to date
- Prepare bills and invoices; document amounts due for medical procedures and services
- Follow-up on missed payments and resolve financial discrepancies
- Maintain billing software by updating rate change, cash spreadsheets, and current collection reports
- Compile and provide a monthly spreadsheet to each client outlining the status of each individual claim
- Ensure all claims and payments are completed within 72 hours of receipt
- Monitor and set up the necessary portals needed to effectively and efficiently manage each client
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with each client
- Prepare an individual daily tracker for tasks completed for a given day
- Complete prior authorizations as requested by the client/office when required for services
- Send out patient bills
Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records; with previous work experience- High school diploma or GED
- MUST have experience with Microsoft Excel
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Full COVID-19 vaccination required
