Immediate Body Shop position available!

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Collision Repair Technician to join our team at Mel Ervin Ford in Chesaning MI! We're looking for a Technician who works well with others, can complete all types of repairs on a variety of makes and models, and is hardworking and reliable.

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems
• Prepare and perform all body and fender repairs according to estimate
• Communicates with Estimator to obtain the needed parts
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems
• Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Perform collision repairs, panel bonding, structural damage, weld, panel replacement, welding, and refinishing.
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner
• Documents all work performed as soon as the job is completed

Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience
• State Certification required
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Ability to operate and work on a variety of automobiles
• Ability to collaborate effectively
• Must have your own tools
