Branch Manager
Role
The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and daily operation of assigned branch including operations, lending, sales, member service and security and safety in accordance with Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations. Actively promotes a sales and service culture, responsible for maintaining branch goals, and will seek new business ventures by participating in community events.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
- Oversees, plans, organizes and directs the daily activities of the branch; including but not limited to member accounts, lending origination, processing, underwriting, closing, funding and ensures compliance with Credit Union guidelines and policies.
- Works with the Marketing and Communications area to develop member promotions to increase membership. Includes participating in community events, as available, to enhance new and existing business opportunities in coordination with the Business Development area.
- Leads branch team to achieve or exceed branch Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by maintaining high standards of member service and integrating all corporate strategies. Identifies opportunities and drives strategy to improved performance and profitability.
- Prepares assigned management reports, performs periodic audits on assigned work, cash drawers, and vaults, and coordinates scheduling, staff meetings and conducts required security meetings with staff to ensure compliance. Develops and implements annual department budget; reviews monthly to analyze variances and assures expenditures remain within limits. Opens and closes the building in accordance with set hours and tests security equipment quarterly.
- Knowledgeable of all products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations of the Credit Union and has an overall understanding of the duties and responsibilities of each member of the branch staff. Familiar with performing the personal service and service representative responsibilities that includes all assigned savings and lending functions, as well as, ordering, receiving and disbursing cash, reconciliation of checks disbursed and received cash management spreadsheets, operation of the ATM/ITM machines where applicable, ordering, verifying, and securing money orders, Travel Money and Gift Cards.
- Ensures branch building maintenance, grounds, equipment and fixtures are up kept through partnering with facilities and other related departments/resources.
- Completes all other tasks, assignments or functions as assigned and/or required.
- Regular and consistent attendance required.
Knowledge & Skills
- A minimum of one to three years of similar or related experience required.
- Must have been in a people leadership role for at least 3 years.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
