REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will possess an Associate’s degree in a related field or two years of commensurate work experience.

They must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional image, leadership ability and be self-motivated. They must hone strong and proven abilities to build relationships, maintain positive public relations and demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the sales and delivery of Credit Union products and services to new and existing members; including, granting consumer loans, opening new accounts, encouraging the use of technology, referring specialized products and services to appropriate departments (i.e. mortgage loans, investment services, commercial loans and agriculture loans).
  • Comply with approved loan policy and loan procedures and guidelines, while making sound recommendations to the Branch Manager on all loans outside of established lending authority.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations including, Reg. Z, Reg. B, HMDA, Reg. D, Reg. E, Reg. DD, BSA, Reg. CC, Reg. P, FCRA, Patriot Act.
  • May assist with interviewing and giving recommendations and suggestions during the hiring process for the branch.
  • May assist in writing and delivering the department’s employee evaluations, the rewarding of exemplary performance and the recommendation of salary increases to the Branch Manager for those employees supervised.
  • May assist in recommending and implementing disciplinary actions up to and including terminations once approved by Administration.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all staff positions within their area of responsibility. Actively demonstrate by actually working in these positions periodically, especially as an FSR or Teller to assist during busy times and when staff is out of the office for a day or so. Keeping abreast of current procedures and ensuring staff is trained is essential to effective leadership.
  • Provide leadership in the branch when the Branch Manager is not present. Effectively disseminate information and directions from the Branch Manager to staff.
  • Maintain open communication with Supervisor regarding branch needs and staff progression.
  • Provides notary public and signature guarantee services to members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to balance ATMs and CDMs (if applicable), to “troubleshoot” basic operating issues for same, and to train others as appropriate.
  • Represents the Credit Union with honesty, integrity and trust at all times.
  • Adheres to established internal policies and procedures for compliance. Completes required compliance training in a timely manner and complies with all regulations within scope of the position.
  • Adheres to the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, USA PATRIOT Act and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Accurately completes Currency Transaction Reports, follows internal procedures to report suspicious activity to the BSA Department, and collects required information to comply with the Customer Identification/Due Diligence Program and to meet other record keeping requirements defined by the Bank Secrecy Act.

  • Be willing to perform any duty (beyond Essential Functions above) as assigned.
  • Meet established performance goals. Stay abreast of branch financials, loan growth and membership growth.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle difficult member or employee situations effectively.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union products and services. Ensure staff is trained and understands products, services, process, procedure and policies as well.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions within responsibility level.
  • Provide exemplary service and foster teamwork throughout the credit union.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and excellent computer literacy.
  • Attend all required meetings unless prior approval is granted.
  • Maintain punctuality while adhering to the assigned work schedule (a typical work schedule will go beyond branch hours).

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to the threat of violence at any time.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time may be required.
  • Repetitive motions and extensive keyboarding may be required.
