Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Surgery at Loyola University Chicago (LUC) Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago’s western suburbs is seeking a full-time academic breast surgeon to join one full-time breast surgeon. The preferred candidate will have the opportunity to practice with a multi-disciplinary oncology team, including surgical and medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast radiologists, pathologists, and a genetic counselor in providing comprehensive consultative and therapeutic care to patients with surgical disease of the breast. The clinical responsibilities are to be a member of the team with a base at LUMC, in addition to supporting sites within Loyola Medicine. Responsibilities include the full spectrum of breast surgical care, pre/post-surgical care, and teaching at resident and student levels. Diverse research opportunities are available and encouraged at the translational, basic science and clinical levels.
Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in general surgery and have completed a fellowship in breast surgery or surgical oncology.
