Overview:
We are seeking a Budget Analysts (all levels of experience) to support a National Institutes of Health (NIH) large scale research program. The customer is located in Bethesda, MD. Work location will be Bethesda, MD, Washington, DC, and/or Arlington, VA.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.


Skills Required:
We are seeking a Budget Analysts (all levels of experience) to support a National Institutes of Health (NIH) large scale research program. The customer is located in Bethesda, MD. Work location will be Bethesda, MD, Washington, DC, and/or Arlington, VA.
  • All skill levels with government budget formulation and execution experience; Health and Human Services experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint) and GoogleDocs
  • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluated proposed programs and expenditures
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data, interpret financial records, detect errors, and prepare financial reports
  • Experience with financial databases and spreadsheet programs; experience in use of financial or accounting information systems
  • Must be able to work independently, detail oriented and organized, and able to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Expertise in fielding Government financial policies and procedures
  • Expert ability to research, analyze, and evaluate information to provide multiple courses of action
  • Expert ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing to peers and senior level staff
  • Ability to obtain NIH Public Trust clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required, ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required
  • Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of relevant experience


Responsibilities:
  • Provide Budget Branch administrative support
  • Provide best practices in budget development and forecasting, execution, reporting, and annual close-out of the fiscal year budget
  • Monitor and analyze funding plans and organization spending projections; prepare justifications as needed
  • Process agency agreements and funding citations in keeping with defined budget authority levels
  • Develop and conduct training for budget staff
