Speedway is immediately hiring a Building Maintenance Technician to perform daily building inspections and basic maintenance repairs at the Enon office complex; uses hand and power tools in addition to special equipment to complete assigned work tasks

Responsibilities:
- Performs daily building inspections at the Enon office complex; inspects and addresses all issues, including, but not limited to egress, lighting, equipment and system checks (HVAC), and general facility appearances
- Performs basic maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical
- Completes various maintenance requests from office personnel, including, but not limited to, furniture relocations, workspace remodeling, carpet replacement, painting, furniture repair and temperature control
- Assists in the construction and/or reconfiguration of facility remodeling projects of office and cubicle workstations
- Performs monthly Health, Environment and Safety (HES) internal audits by monitoring egress/fire safety, equipment/environmental safety as well as electrical safety throughout the facility
- Works with external partners to ensure that all areas of the facility operate correctly and efficiently
- Participates in projects (during business and non-business hours) when necessary, e.g., painting, remodeling projects, etc.
- Responds to emergencies during non-business hours when necessary
- Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements:
- Up to 5 years of general maintenance experience preferred
Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel and other MS Office suite applications
- Good understanding of basic equipment maintenance
- Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to operate hand and power tools in addition to special equipment to complete work assignments
- Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
