Position Summary:
The Business Analyst, QuartzBio will play a critical role within the Operations function of Precision for Medicine's growing QuartzBio business unit. Key responsibilities will include managing QuartzBio's monthly financial close process, including reporting on revenue recognition and generating forecasts; performing analysis and reporting on business performance; and supporting finance-related client needs. Responsibilities will also involve working closely with QuartzBio's finance team to maintain the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Perform tasks for the month-end financial close process that are the responsibility of the Operations function, and collaborate with Finance and Project Management as needed
- Enter unit actuals for prior month in the ERP system or other electronic tools
- Update revenue forecasts monthly or as needed
- Develop and maintain reports related to financials and business performance
- Perform data analysis to support business needs
- Perform variance analysis to identify changes from forecast and to monitor leading/lagging indicators
- Implement, test, and maintain production use of electronic systems and tools for financial management
- Provide recommendations on improvements to processes, templates, and tools
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's in Finance, Information Technology, Business or other relevant discipline
- 3 years of experience in analytics, financial management, or related field
Other Required:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); expert-level in Excel
- Ability to gather and integrate information from varied sources
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, working on time-sensitive matters while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend the English language
Preferred:
- Experience with Smartsheets software
- Experience with Infor ERP software
- Experience with Atlassian Confluence software
- Experience reading and interpreting contract language
