Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire an experienced Business Analyst to support our Security Exchange Commission client in Washington, DC. Qualified candidates will have experience gathering requirements and providing testing/training support for the development and implementation of the product.
Essential Functions

• Leading the capture of business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Writing requirements that both technical experts and business owners can understand
• Providing expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts, and translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Writing and executing functional test scripts.
• Supporting test plans and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Leading product demos and answering questions from project stakeholders
• Providing quality reviews of deliverables and technical documents
• Acting as liaison between product owners/project stakeholders and the development team
• Participating in Agile Sprint sessions and daily stand-ups with the client providing updates
• Working closely with the scrum master to resolve issues and bugs
• Supporting sprint planning, requirements prioritization, and backlog grooming sessions
• Remaining current with system information, changes, and updates
• Assisting with the planning and management of document templates
• Documenting and updating of user guides, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and system administration manuals
• Assisting with the documentation of meetings agendas and the subsequent capture and distribution of meeting minutes and action items
• Ensuring all project guidance, work products, and related documents are updated and posted to a common document repository
• Reviewing and analyzing existing applications to develop and maintain detailed supporting documentation
• Providing JavaScript front-end support for the development team
• Reviewing development team Appian code for bug fixes and errors
• Providing demos and training for project stakeholders
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to client
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support

Requirements

Education & Training

• Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience & Skills

• Seven or more years of IT experience
• Five or more years of IT Business Analyst experience, including requirement gathering
• Five or more years of experience with Agile using Jira
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven self-starter with an exceptional attention to detail

Desired Education/Certifications & Skills

• Appian experience
• Agile certification(s)
• Appian certification(s)
