Position Summary
The Business Analyst, Product represents business stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine, and communicate business needs so that technical delivery teams can build effective solutions. This requires a detailed understanding of client needs, as well as business vision and strategy, to prioritize investment, business value, and delivery. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance from product strategy and well-formed development team and performs essential tasks to support the team including requirement gathering, data analysis, product testing, issue management, meeting facilitation, and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a functional understanding of our industry, clients, and solutions we offer.
  • Understand the business processes, story mapping, documenting detailed business requirements, developing functional designs, conducting gap analysis, etc. that bring the client and project team to a common understanding of the product and how it will satisfy the business need.
  • Support monitoring data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.
  • Help support documentation of acceptance criteria in user stories and the testing effort.
  • Support and maintain the product backlog.
  • Elaborate user stories for implementation, working with the Product Manager to ensure alignment toward the business vision and strategy.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to translate roadmaps into user stories that are part of a well- groomed backlog.
  • Plan, organize, and help facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Provide production support issue triage and facilitate timely resolution, adhering to acceptable quality thresholds.
  • Promote a collaborative working relationship with the team and stakeholders.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with Healthmap policies and procedures.
  • Advises on current and future processes and requirements.
  • Responsible for staying current with enterprise standards, industry standards and technologies, methodologies, and best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience and successful track record as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
  • Healthcare experience.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Jira.
  • Basic SQL experience is preferred.
  • Tableau experience is a plus.
Skills
  • Experience in software development, business analysis, and system lifecycles development is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business skills to extract implicit, unstated, and unrecognized requirements.
  • Keen understanding of backlog management practices and experience using various backlog management tools.
  • Effective meeting management skills to initiate, develop agenda, conduct, and communicate decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to “think out of the box” and develop creative solutions.
  • Energetic, shows passion and is invested in the project as well as our business.
  • Must demonstrate proactive service skills and effective stakeholder management Self-starter with innate desire to learn.
