The Business Applications Manager is responsible for the management and support of core business (agency) applications, including but not limited to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) System, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Accounting Systems and other various business applications. The Business Applications Manager is responsible for managing the resources (staff/contractors/vendors) that support the development, implementation, and maintenance of core business (agency) applications. The Business Applications Manager will provide project management, relationship management, vendor management and support as required. Provides hands on application and data management support, training, and problem solving for the core business (agency) applications listed above. Provides project management to map existing processes; lead the definition/documentation of the “future-state” processes; define/document functional requirements, data changes, business rules, metrics, and training to achieve desired "future-state" operations. Routinely and effectively interacts with Pathways’ leadership, program directors, technical teams, and application software vendors to ensure software applications meet business (agency) functional requirements.

Some Essential Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage projects within the business application portfolio, including: assessment; analysis; requirements definition; application design; resource management; change management build/development; implementation; adoption; validation and benefit realization.
  • Ability to document changes to processes and systems as part of change management.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, realizing that not every problem requires the same solution or approach.
  • Manage performance and capacity of core business applications and ensure software vendor SLAs are consistently met.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of core business applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related field, required
  • Four years of direct experience in business application implementations and or support services required
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, preferred
  • Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience will be considered
  • Valid driver’s license. Must maintain driver’s license during employment. Must maintain own insurance coverage and, as needed, maintain eligibility under Pathway’s insurance. Must sign a motor vehicle disclosure form prior to employment. Pathways will obtain an MVR report for each employee prior to employment and at least annually thereafter.
  • Submit an application for criminal clearance from Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository. If employee resides outside of the Commonwealth or has not been a resident for 5 years prior to hiring, an application for a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal history record must be submitted prior to hiring. If completed FBI Criminal History Record is not received within 90 calendar days, employee will be suspended.
  • Upon hire submit a health assessment and results of a Mantoux tuberculin skin test.
