Responsibilities:
Business Development Manager
Synoptek is currently seeking a talented and experienced sales professional, focused on new customer acquisition, selling advanced systems integration projects and managed IT services to mid to large organizations within North America. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the art of complex environments by utilizing proven solution/consultative selling methodologies and skill sets. This professional must be extremely proficient in prospecting for new customers, networking, and relationship building throughout client organizations to include all C-level executives.

  • Prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close new logo average contract values of $1M - $5M within a defined target market.
  • Successfully sell to mid to large commercial organizations by combining multiple service pillars: Business Applications (Consulting, Implementation, and Management), Data Analytics, Custom Application Development, Cloud Advancement, Managed Security, Workforce Productivity, and Full IT Outsourcing.
  • Define a phased vision for customers, outcome success, win themes, and value proposition by combining technical modernization, financial situational improvement, risk mitigation, and organizational efficiencies.
  • Develop and lead creative deal shapes, commercial structures, and pricing proposals as part of a winning sales pursuit, while working closely with all practices.
  • Leverage all facets of lead generation including, but not limited to outbound lead generation, technology alliance partners (such as Microsoft, ServiceNow, AWS), industry associations, and a strong personal network.
  • Effectively engage and converse with C-level contacts.
Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years business development experience, overall program envisioning, proposal development
  • 5-8+ years consulting and program leadership for impactful business and technology programs, information technology outsourcing, etc.
  • Able to work with clients and delivery organizations to develop programs to drive customer results through technology and business transformation.
  • Experience with complex sales pursuits positioning, bundling, and selling the following services:
    • Business Applications Services (ERP, Business Management Applications): Business Applications Consulting, Business Applications Implementation, Managed Application Support.
    • Data Insights: Business Intelligence, Analytics Consulting, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
    • Application Development: Custom Development, Quality Assurance, UI/UX Design and Development, DevOps Services.
    • Infrastructure Services: Full Outsourced IT, Cloud Advancement Services, Managed Security, IT Consulting, public cloud resell (Azure, AWS).
  • Healthy and current network of senior-level contacts aligned with the ideal customer profile.
  • Prior experience developing business with full-services systems integrations and IT outsourcing firms.
Preferred Qualfiications
  • Able to detect and understand diverse customer organizational needs and justify solutions based on proposed value outcomes: financial benefit, resource optimization, reference architecture advancement, and risk management.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills including the ability to convey a set of complex and detailed deal elements in a compelling, engaging, and easy to understand manner suitable for C-level buyers.
  • Excellent collaboration and team-building skills.
  • Organized and methodical; strong prioritization and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled at leading teams through complex business-technology solutions.
