We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and self-starting individual to join the State Medicaid and Health team as a Strategy Analyst in our Health Business Unit. The team focuses on expanding Mathematica’s research, digital, data, and advisory services offerings with clients across the state and local markets. The team is dynamic and engages in both proactive and RFP business development opportunities. This team also is involved in project delivery engagements with state and local clients, providing the full 360-degree view of our client’s needs.
As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to:
Business Development:
- Contribute to the strategic framework for Mathematica’s ongoing business development activities in state and local markets
- Participate in active outreach to potential partners and support the development of teaming and subcontractor agreements
- Assist in developing budget specifications and help managers prepare materials for budget reviews
- Participate in brainstorming and writing activities for technical proposal language used in response to RFPs and other solicitations
- Support the development and maintenance of business development materials (for example, fact sheets, one-pagers, competitive intelligence dossiers)
- Work collaboratively across teams to ensure adequate material is documented and available for BD activities
- Manage active bids to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and coordination across individual contributors
- Support the development and execution of process improvements
Project Delivery:
- Participate in technical project delivery by serving in a project support role
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to ensure project requirements are documented and internal processes are followed.
Position Requirements:
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field including economics, public policy, psychology, business administration, management, information technology
- 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a health technology or health policy context
- 1+ years of experience with state procurement processes
- Demonstrated experience working on health care related projects
- Strong organization, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
- High-level working knowledge of project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Tableau) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $65,000 - $90,000. This position may be eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
Various federal agencies with whom we contract require that staff successfully undergo a background investigation or security clearance as a condition of working on the project. If you are assigned to such a project, you will be required to obtain the requisite security clearance.
