Richard Bland College is seeking a qualified candidate for the Business Manager position that is committed to the mission, vision and strategic goals of the college.
The Business Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, manage the day-to-day operations in Auxiliary Enterprises and Operations to achieve established revenue targets. Manages, reviews, monitors, and evaluates fiscal and administrative reports and business practices to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of fiscal, human resource, administrative and operational programs as well as to aid in the identification of maximum funding opportunities.

Develops and implements budgets, prepares reports for senior management and ensures the department complies with College policies. Ensures that workers have the resources needed to complete their work.
Minimum Qualifications

- Monitor expenditures, research and provide projected costs
- Requisition and procure goods and services through contracts and other avenues
- Administrate contracts by analyzing documents, process change orders
- Research and compile data, prepare reports or presentations
- Knowledge of advanced bookkeeping practices and automated accounting software
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and accurately
- Ability to use Excel proficiently
- Ability to manage multiple task concurrently and work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Fast, accurate data entry
- Experience using state procurement system

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Must have experience in accounting, business and finance Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a problem solver with a demonstrated ability to overcome the obstacles that would prevent a department or organization from reaching its goals.
