Coordinate the Center’s robotic training calendar and will work closely with personnel in the robotics industry in order to assist the Director in bringing surgeons and their teams from around the country and world to the Center for robotic training.
Work with other medical device companies to conduct lab trainings for ECU personnel and thereby generate additional revenue for the Robotic Training Center.
Create invoices and work with Contracts Department on receiving and posting revenue.
Interview, hire and supervise student workers.
Create and maintain contracts for graduate assistants, summer interns, volunteer and visiting surgeons or professionals as hired by Director.
Serve as the head of the intern program, supervising, coordinating and directing all activities.
Manage budget assigned to Director to ensure that finances are not overcommitted.
Handle ordering of office supplies, lab supplies, etc. within the assigned budgets.
Manage inventory of robotic instrumentation.
Compile and summarize financial data to participate in budget analysis and forecasting.
Assist with tours and robotic demonstrations in the Center for student and constituent groups.
Assist in setup and cleanup in the labs and assist with preparation of surgical models for training.
Maintain all state and federal credentialing for laboratory utilization.
Manage content of Robotic Training and ECHI at ECU websites.
Will have public contact with university officials, departmental staff members, managers within the organization, Vidant Medical Center administrative offices, federal agency officials, national and international physicians, researchers and business leaders and the public.
Exercise judgment for meetings and deadlines and may attend meeting in Director’s absence or with him.
Ability to provide documentation to explain and support decisions made for the Director and Center. Be able to communicate effectively in written form by using correct grammar.
Demonstrate significant knowledge for the goals, priorities and commitments of the Director.
Plan events as needed with internal and external agencies.
This position will also provide administrative support for faculty members. Duties include but are not limited to scheduling meetings, conferences and lectures, maintaining calendars, processing faculty leave requests and travel requests, handling time and effort reports and medical directorship reports on a monthly basis and printing and mailing referring physician clinic notes.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
