Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

JOB SUMMARY
The Business System Analyst analyzes current business processes, analyzes systems, and makes recommendations for improvement. This position collaborates with internal and external teams to understand, define, and replicate best practices related to data quality and integrity programs.

The Business System Analyst dictates and participates in various stages of project lifecycle; provides pre- and post-implementation support; facilitates transition to administrative and/or clinical teams; provides substantial input into the development and implementation of project plans and system design.
** This position is remote, however if applying out of state, candidate must be able to accommodate business needs for Arizona.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES
System Analysis and Design
  • Analyzes systems and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
  • Creates and maintains initial system specifications, mock-ups, change logs, and report definition templates based on and related to user or system design specification.
  • Manages projects for new EMR related applications and/or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Coordinates software updates and changes with users.
  • Creates and presents reports to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations.
  • Develops training and operational procedures to increase productivity.
  • Communicates and coordinates regularly with appropriate others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations and activities.
  • Acts as both a business analyst and project manager on small to mid-sized IT related agency projects
EHR Software Development Support
  • Manages development ticket queue and acts as an intermediary for EMR vendor related ticket escalations.
  • Leads daily development stand up meetings.
  • Follows established escalation and notification procedures.
  • Assists in application testing and auditing for upgrades and enhancements.
  • Performs front-end system configuration and/or related changes.
  • Provides technical support to users when necessary.
  • Coordinates Nextgen system related trainings.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field required.
  • General knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and software development required.
  • Experience with the NextGen Enterprise EMR preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid identification.
  • Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Candidate must have or earn a Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA®) AHIMA certification within one year.
  • Ability to quantify and communicate business cases and sense of urgency related to IT support and projects.
OTHER SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
  • Able to adhere to all compliance regulations including, HIPAA; Fraud, Waste, and Abuse; Harassment; etc.
  • Able to read and comprehend information without difficulty.
  • Able to type 40/wpm.
  • Able to utilize Microsoft systems such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to coherently communicate with others.
  • Able to synthesize complex information and report it to others in a calm and precise manner.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.
  • Able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.
