Furniture Medic is a nation-wide company specializing in wood furniture and cabinet repair and finish restoration. Our Chestnut Ridge location covers the greater NY & NJ area, serving the commercial, residential and insurance markets. We currently have an opening for a Cabinet Maker and Installation Technician with strong prior experience.

The job's focus will be on fabrication, construction and installation of cabinetry, wood veneers, toe kicks and other related items as well as structural repair of wood furniture. The right candidate for this position will have a background with finish carpentry skills. There will be opportunity for you to learn new skills and take on increasing responsibilities as your experience and our business both continue to grow.

What we would like from you:

• Knowledge of how to construct and deconstruct kitchen cabinets, repair cabinets and perform finish carpentry.
• Thoughtful, organized and professional approach to the job, knowledge of wood stains and finishes a plus
• A passion for performing quality work and delivering excellent customer service
• Valid driver's license and a background check is required
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
