Job description

We are looking for a Coffee Bar Attendant responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers and guests in our Café 1736. Their duties include working with other Baristas to help take orders, make drinks and provide timely service to customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
• Preparing and serving beverages
• Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries
• Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
• Taking payment from customers
• Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs
• Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Fluency in English
• Compute basic arithmetic.
• Prior experience as a Barista

Ability to:

• Understand and focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
• Be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly when providing service to guests within any given period of time.
• Focus attention on details.
• Suggestively sell Coffee Shop menu items, beverages, etc. Access and input information into POS system.
• Maintain good coordination while serving orders quickly.
• Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $8.50 per hour
