This role is for the F&B outlets inside the newly constructed MOXY Hotel South Beach. The Moxy is a 202 room, eight-story hotel, located at 915 Washington Ave. With exterior architecture and interior design by Rockwell Group, Moxy South Beach will span 78,000 gross square feet. The lobby will feature an outdoor courtyard that threads together a series of spaces, including a restaurant, all-day bar, bodega offering stylish beach accessories, and a coworking lounge which transitions into meeting studios. The second floor features a 72-foot pool, fitness center, and indoor/outdoor bar and café. The rooftop offers breathtaking views of Miami Beach, a large shallow pool to cool off in, and a screening area. Moxy South Beach offers multiple vibes, all under one roof. Local DJs and live music will activate the lobby bar and pool area.

What will you be doing?

The Café Attendant is a pivotal member of the Moxy team. The Café Attendant will create, prepare, and serve restaurant food items to guests. The employee will educate our guests on the drink and food menu and make recommendations based of their preferences. You must have excellent service skills and be knowledgeable on how to operate brewing equipment to be successful.

You will ensure an excellent drinking experience for is offered to all our guests.

What we're looking for:

• Someone with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude.
• Perform cashier duties for transactions relating to the sale of food, coffee, or retail items.
• Set and replenish morning service bar and grab and go refrigerator with clean condiments, dairy, baked goods, coffee and other items as needed according to restaurant standards.
• Serve water, soft drinks, beer, coffee and juice to guests.
• Properly ID guests to ensure they are legal age for purchasing alcohol.
• Clean and stock throughout the restaurant as necessary throughout your shift
• Carry dishes, food, silverware and trays from kitchen to serving counters when supply runs low
• Perform janitorial duties as needed when time permits, such as cleaning work stations, emptying the trash, mopping up spills and sweeping during your shift
• Polish and clean walls, shelves, furniture and equipment throughout the establishment during shift when time permits
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old to work with us in this role.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location.

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and push/pull/lift 40+ pound.

Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.

Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.

Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures
