HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is currently accepting applications for a Florida-licensed Interventional Radiology Technologist (Tech) on a Full-Time basis in our interventional Neuroradiology Department. The schedule is 10 hour shifts with assigned call. ARRT, BLS, and ACLS required. The ideal candidate will possess recent Neuro/Interventional Radiology experience.

The Neuro-Interventional Radiology Tech demonstrates competency in all diagnostic, standard and Neurological interventional radiology procedures, demonstrates effective communication skills as an active member of the Special Procedures Team and follows established standards and practices under the directions of the radiologist, invasive cardiologist and/or vascular surgeon. The Neuro Interventional Radiology Tech will participate in the on-call schedule as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Technologist will be able to perform duties in Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology. These duties will include but not limited to assisting in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Ability to drive/pan table for all procedures. Ability to monitor all procedures. Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the adult and geriatric population.


EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in licensed field and one year cardiac cath lab experience.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: State of Florida professional license or certification. Or must obtain RCIS registry within 3 years if not an ARRT, RT, RRT or Paramedic.

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required

SKILLS: Organizational, Verbal, Interpersonal, Customer Relations, Mathematical, Analytical, Grammar/Spelling, Read/Comprehend written instructions, Follow verbal instructions, Computer, Clerical, MediTech
