Summary of Purpose: Perform office duties while providing the highest level of client services.

Duties (Essential Functions):

• Greet clients as they arrive for their appointments at the CARE-a-van
• Respond to inquiries on wellness and surgery appointments
• Input data into clinic software, including end of day reconciliation
• Perform animal check-in/check-out procedures
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of public areas
• Other duties as assigned by Kentucky Initiatives Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Great interpersonal skills both in person and by phone with clients, staff and volunteers
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Demonstrated attention to detail; ability to process paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic computer knowledge
• Punctual and dependable
• Humane attitude toward animals
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be willing to drive KHS vehicles
• Accept, support, and represent KHS core values, programs, policies and procedures
• Background check required

Physical Demands/Working Environment

• Occasional day and overnight travel required
• Frequent bending, reaching, feeling and or handling, kneeling, walking and standing on a regular basis while performing job functions
• Individual will have extended periods of sitting, talking and listening
• Ability to work in heat and cold in outdoor environment
• Occasionally lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to or exceeding 35 lbs.
• Includes working in an indoor or outdoor desk environment as well as working with animals in a kennel/shelter setting (indoor/outdoor) with potential for exposure to allergens, zoonotic diseases, and cleaning chemicals
