Job description

We are searching for a deadline-driven carpet installers with great attention to detail.

Our team consists of a design, construction, and technical team of architects, engineers, elevator mechanics, as well as project & property managers who provide services for time-sensitive rehabilitation, renovations, and maintenance in privately and City-owned properties.

The ideal candidate will be able to understand clients’ visions, follow directions, and complete projects on time and to budget.

Painter Responsibilities:

• Meeting with clients to assess their carpeting needs.
• Laying out carpet samples for customer selection.
• Measuring rooms and drawing up specifications for the carpets.
• Providing clients with accurate quotes based on room size and stock prices.
• Ordering stock from the warehouse and arranging an installation day with the client.
• Processing service orders and stock notes.
• Removing old carpeting and flooring.
• Rolling out, measuring, and cutting carpets to size.
• Gluing or stapling carpets to the floor, stairs, or wall.
• Finishing edges with a wall trimmer and correcting imperfections.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a carpet installer.
• Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards.
• Good planning and organization skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Solid communication skills.
• Good balance and physical strength.
• MUST HAVE HIS OWN EQUIPMENT
• MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
• This is an independent contractor position - 1099

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
