The Case Aide will support Waukesha County social workers in their day-to-day tasks and helps to ensure the safety and well being of identified children in Waukesha County by providing supervised visitations and transportation and conducting home visits.

SALARY: $19.00 an hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Formulate, implement, evaluate and review desired behavior changes with family
• Conduct safe visitations with family members
• Intervene, when necessary, to prevent inappropriate behavior or to promote productive interactions between family members
• Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
• Implement, evaluate and review safety assessments and case plans
• Conduct face-to-face contact with families, per program standards, to ensure safety and cooperation with the safety plan and/or case plan
• Provide parent mentoring services
• Assist families in goal setting, planning and home management tasks
• Complete all program documentation per program standards
• Update and report family progress/issues to Waukesha County social workers
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and obey all traffic laws.
• Safely transport clients as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Education and Training:

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field
• Position must keep current on information pertaining to client/family needs through seminars, training, media, text and research
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply

Experience:

• Previous experience working with at-risk youth and families.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read, speak and write clearly in English
• Must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Waukesha County Health and Human Services
• Must establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with clients, colleagues, Waukesha County employees, the school district, and other community agencies.
