JOB DESCRIPTION:
Oversite of the casualty program including monopolistic states. Cultivate relationships with TPA, attorneys and preferred vendors. This position would be responsible for analyzing notice of loss reports; monitoring, assisting, evaluating, and reporting on claims being handled by a primary TPA. Other duties include cultivating relationships with brokers and underwriters. Reviewing insurance applications and assisting with reports.
ACTIVITIES:
- Evaluate incoming claims and assign to the appropriate team members
- Oversee the large loss and litigated claims
- Checking TPA pyramid to ensure all locations are scheduled.
- Monitoring location coding for appropriate designations (location, company division)
- Manage general liability and auto claims with Gallagher Bassett and CCMSI
- Resolves casulaty claims for closure; works closely with insurance claims management team and attorney; attends and provides information for mediations
- Coordinate communication of claim reporting process - new locations
- Review accuracy of claim instructions and audit compliance of claim adjusters
- Identify vendors for claims program
- Work closely with the Director of Risk Management regarding Casualty Policy renewals
- Evaluate IBNR reports monthly
- Other Duties as outlined
0THER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
- Participate in meetings related to the 10/1 Casualty renewal program
- Participation in TPA and vendor meetings as requested
- Review application of annual renewal activities
- Participation in Risk Management Department planning and other designated meetings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference four-year degree
- Workers Compensation claim handling experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- PC Literate: Including Microsoft Office Products
- Effective analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Fundamental knowledge of the insurance industry claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations
- This position may require work on rare occasions to be performed on weekends.
