Congregational Home is hiring for full-time CBRF Resident Assistants!

1st shift: 6:30am-2:30pm

With our new CBRF expansion we have limited spots available! After 1 year of service we will pay for you to take Certified Nursing Assistant classes!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assists with ADL’s, provides direct care to residents, following the resident's assessment and ISP as necessary.
  • Gives or assists with personal cares including but not limited to hygiene, oral care, showers, sponge baths, tub baths, shampoos and sets, nail and skin care.
  • Assists with toileting as necessary, including care of incontinent residents.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills to successfully interact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and community and government agencies.
  • Supervises or assists resident with taking medications and develops a working knowledge of medications and possible side effects.
  • Observes patients' conditions, vital signs etc.
  • Reports observations to nurses and documents appropriately.
  • Maintains confidentiality of resident’s records including identity, behavior and medical conditions.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment, including performing house cleaning duties
  • Arranges and assists with leisure activities and encourages resident participation
  • Assists with restorative activity, ambulation, range of motion as instructed by the nurses
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a CBRF facility preferred, but not required
  • must be able to express self in written and oral communication and communicate effectively in care setting with residents, families and staff members
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work independently or with a team
  • conducts oneself in a caring, sensitive and safe manner which promotes positive relations and rapport with residents and visitors
Education Requirements:
  • Must have completed all four required CBRF courses (First Aid & Choking, Fire Safety, Medication Administration, and Standard Precautions)
